Hampe customer base was primarily to outfit Harmony, Fanfare and Flute bands, and the Dutch Army.
They assembled brass wind instruments where delivered as parts. The company workshop soldered assembled and added a name shield,stamp, or engraving. Five to six men worked in a 50 foot square work space. The produce line ranged from bugles to sousaphones. Saxophones where delivered by Mahillon later by Musima from East Germany. In the 1960s they came from Grassi and Borgani both from Milan.
Many instruments were sold in the Dutch Colonies to support the Dutch interest in marching musical organizations. The quality of the house brand was at a student level, but they where very solidly built.
