- 1892-94 Easman is piano salesman for Hickok in Newburgh
- 1895-96 Easman & Ross, 16 Colden St, pianos, stringed
instruments, & sheet music
- 1896 Hickok dies December 12th, Easman & Co. is incorporated
at 16 Colden St. later that month; J.E. Easman, pres.
- 1899 Easman & Co. moves to 30 Water St. opposite the New
York Central train station
- 1902 Mary Easman (1st wife of James) dies at 33
- 1907 son J. E. Easman, Jr. is born Sept 1st to Mabel
- 1910 son William Suydam Easman born May 25th
- 1938 James, Sr. retires; son James, Jr. becomes president and
William is vice-president, 30 Water St.
- 1959 James, Sr. dies May 4th at 90; Easman & Co. is claimed to
be the oldest music house in the Hudson valley
- 1962 William Easman dies July 27th at 52, VP of music store
- c.1970 James, Jr. retires to Florida and the store closes
- 1992 James, Jr. dies December 10th in Florida at 85
