Established in 1883. Gretsch records were lost in a fire in their New York plant 40-50 yrs ago. In 1967, Baldwin Piano and Organ bought Gretsch Co In 1968 ad, the Fred Gretsch Company, Inc., 60 Broadway , Brooklyn NY 11231, is advertizing that they are distributors for Couesnon.
Zalzar was a tradename for imports used by Gretsch.
Serenader Instruments may be Gretsch products.
