1901 The Larkin Music House is established in NY by Francis Larkin Jr. (1859-1938)

1905 the NYS census lists Francis as an upholsterer living in
Norwich, NY; his sons are musicians
1916 the Larkin Music House is in Sidney, NY

1920 Larkin moves to Binghamton and starts the Larkin
Musical Instrument Co. with son Francis (1882-1938), #94 Chenango St.

1928 Francis Larkin Jr. retires due to his health
1934 grandson Francis S. Larkin (1911-2002)goes to
work for Carl Fischer Music in NY as a travelling salesman
in California

1938 the elder two Larkins die within two weeks of each other in
March; Francis S. Larkin returns from L.A. to take over the
business in Binghamton; he files for incorporation as the
Larkin Musical Instrument Co. Inc. in December
1965 the old 3-story building on Chenango Street was torn
down for urban renewal and Larkin moves to #27 Henry St
1975 son Christopher Larkin is now working with his father
1998 the business is owned by Christopher Larkin
2002 Francis dies this year. Christopher is living in
Maryland
