- 1965 - Yamaha begins producing wind instruments.
- 1967 - Yamaha sells instruments through jobbers in U.S. market
- 1969 - Yamaha sets up a dealer network to sell directly in U.S. market
- 1976 - Yamaha begins production of electric and electronic pianos.
- 1987 - The company name is officially changed to Yamaha Corporation to mark the 100th anniversary of its founding.
