Vincent Bach bagan to manufacture mouthpieces afer leaving the Army in 1918, and was making trumpets and cornets in the French design by 1924. He added trombones in 1928.
He started in NYC, before moving to Mt. Vernon in 1953.
In 1961, Selmer purchased the Bach brass plant.
Bundy was a Student brand used by Bach. Mr. Bach began designing for the Bundy student brass lines, made in a small plant in Elkhart. In 1964, The Bach plant and equipment moved to Elkhart.
