Thomas Reynolds had previously been a trumpet teacher at Royal Manchester College of Music. He adopted the design patterns of Higham due to employing a former Higham supervisor.

- 1903 now working at 58 & 60 Chapel St, Salford
- 1909 now working at 43 Chapel St
- 1930 incorporates as Thomas Reynolds Sr & Sons, Ltd
- 1968 managing director Fred Baxendall buys the company
- 1983 Reynolds is closed
