Quinby Bros circular cornet Pryorphone: Boy, some details of that horn sure seem to bear a resemblence to many details of my unmarked SARV cornet, including the Allen rotaries... Kenton: Well, now, I don’t know. But the number of makers that used Allen valves is somewhat limited. I’ll see if I can get a list of who all used Allen valves. That would help to narrow the field. OK, to narrow the field, 5 makers used Allen valves: Allen & Co (Allen & Richardson) DC Hall Hall & Quinby Quinby Brothers Lehnert & Co (Richardson & Lehnert) both Henry and Carl So, both Quinby and Lehnert look like good possibilities.
