| "The Triumphonic designation replaced the Triumph in 1914. This horn is a dead ringer for the Hawkes Class A cornets that were made about the same time. The SA horns were of no less quality and had heavier brass and thicker plating."

| Starting in 1884 SA bagan to buy instruments made by others but put their logo on them. This horn is likely one of those. SA started a repair shop in 1889, and started actually making their own horns in 1891. Horns actually made by SA has "Made by" stated on them.
