| Quinby Bros circular cornet
Pryorphone: Boy, some details of that horn sure seem to bear a resemblence to many details of my unmarked SARV cornet, including the Allen rotaries...
Kenton: Well, now, I don’t know. But the number of makers that used Allen valves is somewhat limited. I’ll see if I can get a list of who all used Allen valves. That would help to narrow the field.
OK, to narrow the field, 5 makers used Allen valves:
Allen & Co (Allen & Richardson)
DC Hall
Hall & Quinby
Quinby Brothers
Lehnert & Co (Richardson & Lehnert) both Henry and Carl
So, both Quinby and Lehnert look like good possibilities.

| "The scroll is FR, not FB and stands for Florentine Ridoux, maiden name of Bessons wife. This also dates the piece as later models had FB in the scroll, Above the wreath is the Royal Seal and below the serial number is a crown instead of a star. "
