Kenton: Well, now, I don’t know. But the number of makers that used Allen valves is somewhat limited. I’ll see if I can get a list of who all used Allen valves. That would help to narrow the field. OK, to narrow the field, 5 makers used Allen valves: Allen & Co (Allen & Richardson) DC Hall Hall & Quinby Quinby Brothers Lehnert & Co (Richardson & Lehnert) both Henry and Carl So, both Quinby and Lehnert look like good possibilities.

"The scroll is FR, not FB and stands for Florentine Ridoux, maiden name of Bessons wife. This also dates the piece as later models had FB in the scroll, Above the wreath is the Royal Seal and below the serial number is a crown instead of a star. "
