| Conn patented a Spiral valve that was to combine the characteristics of the piston and the rotary valve. But, it never seems to have made it into production. This cornet from 1914, however, appears to have a variation on the valve as its pitch changer.
This horn was apparently not a production instrument and has no Conn logo on the bell. But it does have a Conn patent April 2, 1907 on the valve casing along with the Union Label.
