The question was asked on how to add pictures to posts.
And the easiest way to think of this is to consider this as linking to them, and not loading images.
Downloading images to this program would require a lot more space to accommodate them.
There are a lots of choices of online locations to store your files. Simply copy the URL link to your picture(s) and paste that into your post.

Using Communicator Posts
Communicator is a home grown program and not all the features are not as clear as I expected as I was writing it. For example:
When creating new topics, there is a new Title, and I expected there was a possibility a Subtitle might be useful. But, this has confused a couple of folks people where the Subtitle space is interpreted as being the location for the first post. This is my fault and I need to be clearer in the instructions.
I will soon remedy this.
Thanks.

I don't have an answer why Ukeman got labeled as Guest. I've corrected this instance. But, if it continues to happen, I'll need to track down the problems.
Reagrding posting pictures:
As I understand, it is not possible to add pictures to a post that are not publicly available on the internet?

If you use any of the cloud services, you can probably get a viewable image. It may not be the raw file, but it can go through its viewer.
The better choices are for the services that do give you a simple url: Imgur, Flickr, Dropbox, OneDrive are all options for that.
And, if you have access to your own hosting online space, that is the best.
